SWIGGIS Service Events

The Austin GIS community is getting together to raise money for the 2010 Austin Heart Walk. All proceeds benefit the American Heart Association. Please join or donate to team Points, Lines, & Polygons.

At our next lunch, we will be having a bake sale fundraiser for the Points, Lines, & Polygons Heart Walk team. Please come with your sweet tooth and dollar bills at the ready.

SWIGGIS Educational Sessions

Our next Professional Development Lunch is Wednesday September 22nd from 11:30-1:30 at PBS&J, 6504 Bridge Point Parkway in the 'Dillo Conference Room.

Many of you know Karen Steede-Terry from her days in Austin. She's now based in Houston (or should we say again), still providing her highly successful GIS and GPS training to TNRIS and others. Today she, also, coaches new or fairly new women entrepreneurs by teaching them exactly what it takes to start a business, how to attract clients, and how to make a steady income in the process. Most recently Karen has helped form the SWIGGIS-Houston chapter.
